Summer Trip

Just back from a cycling, camping, walking, session playing, highland game, friend visiting trip. A great 2 weeks where the weather threw everything just about, apart from snow at me. I was boiled, soaked, bitten, almost electrocuted in thunderstorms on a mountainside, covered in mud, almost urinated on while wild camping and finally shaken to bits on landrover & walking tracks. Can't wait for the next trip.

Autumn has Arrived

Well its my favourite time of year when all the trees are full of fruit and nuts. Cycling around the local roads everywhere you look there is Hawthorn Berries, Rosehip's, Elderberries and ocassionally a big old Oak tree with immature acorns developing. When you look up you can see the Buzzards soaringin the strong Autumnal winds picking up thermals from the hills, and young Swallows darting about buffeted by the gusty winds prparing for there long migration to there winter homes in Africa.

The question of all questions for mankind - the problem which underlies all others and which is more deeply interesting then any other-is the ascertainment of the place which man occupies in nature. - Thomas Henry Huxley 1825-95

Hiya, just found your site and browsed some of your pictures. Some really good ones there, you're living my dream, (me being an "armchair traveller" for now!). Ah well, one day! Wink
